What VitaChart is about

For over twelve years, my wife and I have used the Creighton Model to chart her natural fertility cycles, working hand in hand with a certified FertilityCare practitioner and a NaProTechnology medical doctor. As a software architect and a father of five, I created VitaChart out of real family practice and personal conviction.

Many couples find natural family planning methods powerful, empowering, and respectful of feminine physiology, but are frustrated by the software available today: recurring fees that feel exploitative, fragile cloud databases holding intimate health data, or generic period trackers that try to guess ovulation with blind statistical algorithms.

VitaChart replaces that complexity with quiet elegance: a dignified 12-card daily logging grid, offline-first local storage, and instant generation of a standardized 35-day consultation sheet ready for medical review.

Key strengths & pros compared to other models

When evaluating VitaChart alongside specialized fertility apps (such as the official FertilityCare App, Chart Neo, or Read Your Body) and commercial menstrual apps (like Flo or Clue), several clear architectural and economic advantages stand out:

Dimension VitaChart Subscription Apps Generic Trackers
Pricing & Model €1.99 / $1.99 One-time purchase
No ongoing fees; permanent ownership.
$35 – $100+ / year
Ongoing annual subscriptions.
Freemium / $40+/yr
Aggressive paywalls & ads.
Privacy & Data Storage 100% Local on Device
No external cloud servers; zero leak risk.
Cloud databases
Requires user account & sync.
Server-side tracking
Data monetisation & third-party ad SDKs.
Observational Fidelity Creighton & NaPro Aligned
12-card observation deck, mucus scores, stamps.
Varies by app
Often complex or rigid entry flows.
Algorithmic guessing
Overrides individual physiological markers.
Medical Consultation PDF Standardized 35-Day Sheet
Clinician-ready PDF export with doctor notes.
Basic PDF or screenshots
Often cluttered or unformatted.
None / Generic graphs
Unusable in NaPro medical appointments.
Offline Autonomy Fully Offline
Works seamlessly without internet access.
Requires online login
Fails when offline or session expires.
Requires connectivity
Constant telemetry calls.

Summary of the advantage: Because VitaChart stores data directly on the user’s phone without requiring server infrastructure, there are zero server maintenance bills to pass on to families. This allows a single, affordable purchase that respects family budgets while guaranteeing impenetrable privacy.
